Monitor ventilation rate with hand-held computer

By Control Engineering Staff November 1, 1999

Westport, Conn. -Air Ventilation Monitor uses a hand-held computer to display, calculate, and log air ventilation and other parameters. VentCal 100 measures carbon dioxide as it is injected into a zone and then disperses using tracer decay protocol per ASTM E-741. Calculations include outdoor air ventilation rate per square foot, per occupant, or air changes per hour. A telescoping hotwire anemometer is available to measure airflow. The Windows CE-based software provides an intuitive user interface and allows input through a keypad, handwriting recognition, or voice.
