Motherboard: Integrated platform has high computing power, connectivity
AIMB-240 from the eAutomation Group of Advantech are said to provide dual-display and multi-panel support in areas where space, I/O connectivity, and networking performance are of major concern.
Cincinnati, OH— AIMB-240 Mini-ITX motherboard from the eAutomation Group of Advantech offers 2.8 GHz power and six serial communication ports. Extensively equipped, the platform includes an 82852GME chipset, supports Intel Pentium 4 and Intel Celeron processors, and has 400/533 MHz FSB and 1 GB of DDR 266/333 SDRAM. With Intel’s integrated Extreme Graphics 2 controller, it delivers integrated 3D graphics and video capability without adding expensive graphic cards.
The AIMB-240 includes multiple display interfaces such as LVDS, DVI, TV-out, and CRT and multimedia features such as 5.1 multi-channel audio and DVI transmission of 135 megapixels per second. It uses the Intel ICH 4 to deliver rich expandability, says the company, and has one 32 bit/33 MHz PCI slot and one 32-bit/33 MHz mini-PCI slot to enable flexible expansion. Six serial communication ports and six USB 2.0 ports offer connectivity for keyboards, mice, and other peripherals. The motherboard also supports dual 10/100Base-Tx Ethernet.
Product is RoHS compliant and claims a long MTBF and CMOS data backup. It is particularly suited, says Advantech, for applications where space, I/O connectivity, and networking performance are major concerns. Prices start at $219.
