IndraMotion MLC controller-based motion control system from Bosch Rexroth Corp. is designed for packaging machines with centralized or distributed architectures and a maximum of 16 axes per controller. Up to 64 controllers can be networked together via cross-communications to provide synchronization of a line or process. Core component is IndraControl L40, a compact, DIN-rail-mount controller that combines embedded PC architecture with highly scalable I/O systems. Controller-base module offers 16 fast inputs and outputs and standardized communication interfaces such as Ethernet, Profibus (master/slave), RS-232, and Sercos.
