Allen-Bradley SMC Flex motor controller with integrated I/O modules features two inputs and four outputs. It is said to help users control processes and monitor motor systems from a networked soft-starter, moving control of some industrial processes closer to the motor and lowering costs associated with wiring and programming. Inputs provide greater access to diagnostic information to reduce maintenance costs and downtime. Device was developed for a range of motor control applications including conveyors, pumps, and chillers. Internal bypass contactor results in less heat and a smaller footprint than previous motor controllers. Replaceable components keep users from stocking full spare motor controllers. www.ab.com Rockwell Automation
