Adjustable-speed drive

The Q9 Series of adjustable-speed drives are designed with oversized transistors and heavy-duty dc bus capacitors. The electronic operator interface has an LCD and simple keypad layout. Windows-based software aids programming and monitoring. The drive’s HVAC features include a fire-speed circuit that forces the drive to run at a preset speed during a smoke purge, and a damper-permissive function that can be used to protect from over-pressuring ductwork. Other drive features include PID control, wire-break function and common communications protocols.

Large-capacity ac drive

The SJ700 Series large-capacity ac drive features an improved sensorless vector control algorithm that enables the unit to develop more than 150% starting torque at 0.3 Hz. Using the “0 Hz Domain” open-loop control mode, the drive can develop 130% torque at 0 Hz, which is critical for vertical lift applications. The drive also has a simplified auto-tuning process, built-in sequence programming, voltage surge suppression, advance trip avoidance and configurable sink/source logic on programmable I/O.

Horizontal motor for oil, gas

The API 547 Titan III is a horizontal motor designed to the American Petroleum Institute 547 Standards, and made for oil and gas industry applications such as fans, compressors, centrifugal pumps and blowers. The high-efficiency motor is custom designed to order. Initially available in 250 to 600 hp, each motor features an easy ordering and specification process with 12-week delivery; corrosion protection and TEFC enclosures; and detailed reports on all bearing, vibration and resistance tests.

Low-voltage MCC

The Model 6 low-voltage motor control center with the TeSys T motor management controller monitors the state of motors that power pumps, blowers, fans, compressors and conveyors; it can alert centralized process control if there is a problem with a motor or if a problem is imminent. The unit features data communications protocols; on-board I/O; alarms that can be transmitted via phone, e-mail or PDA; six discrete inputs and three relay outputs; and interrupt and short-circuit current protection.

Solid-state overload relay

The Motor Insight overload relay features solid-state motor protection with ground fault detection; power, voltage and current monitoring; and flexible communications options. Add-on communication adapters enable users to choose among DeviceNet, Modbus, Profibus and Ethernet/IP protocols, as well as several I/O options. The overload relay system can be used with applications such as coal-bed methane well pumps, low-speed mixers, can pumps, mag drive pumps, fractional horsepower pumps and motors and submersible pumps.

Servo drive with embedded software

The PositionServo is a servo drive with programming and configuration software embedded inside the drive. The software %%MDASSML%% MotionView OnBoard %%MDASSML%% allows the drive to run without having specific servo drive software loaded into a computer. The drive also has communication capabilities such as Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet and Profibus DP protocols. Advanced debugging tools allow users to save variable watch configurations as project files for later recall. Other features include a memory chip, digital and analog I/O and instant drive setup.

Motor management system

The TeSys T motor management system records motor history, statistics and time-stamped faults to give users a real-time view of their motor control. The system consists of a multifunction protection device %%MDASSML%% separate from the automation system %%MDASSML%% and an operator control unit for reading and modification of monitored parameters. The device supports up to five fieldbus types, and offers six motor control functions including overload, two-step and two-speed modes. It guards against motor malfunctions such as overload and current peak.
