The FPM-7181W by Advantech has four-finger multi-touch capabilities as well as dual-touch interface for USB and RS-232 that are designed to boost productivity for HMI applications. Courtesy: AdvantechAdvantech’s FPM-7181W, an 18.5 in. widescreen multi-touch flat panel monitor is designed to provide easier operation and boost productivity in manufacturing control environments, building automation, and other HMI applications.

The FPM-7181W features a widescreen ratio of 16:9, providing 40% more screen area than traditional 4:3 aspect ratio displays. Resolution is 1366 x 768 with 16.2 million colors. The four-finger multi-touch capabilities provide even greater control and viewing of the information displayed such as zoom, slides, twist, etc.

Other features include RS-232 and USB dual touch interface, VGA and DVI-D dual video input port, 0 to 50°C operating temperature, and IP65 front panel. The panel glass is hardened to 7H on the Mohs scale, which is the same hardness as quartz.

The FPM-7181W can be mounted on panels, on walls, or by a stand using the VESA hole behind the unit; providing a range of options for any industrial environment.
