Umetrics has released Simca-4000 version 12 multivariate statistical process control (MSPC) software for real-time monitoring and prediction for continuous processes. The company describes Simca-4000 as an off-the-shelf, Microsoft Windows-based software platform, providing MSPC for continuous processes. Whether there are tens, hundreds, or even thousands of incoming signals or parameters, Simca-4000 version 12 is said to be able to visualize the current state of the entire process in a few simple plots. Improvements to this new version include support for alarms based on results, including visualization and export of triggered alarms with functionality to display results in customizable clients, such as web clients; support for projects created in Simca-P+ 12; is available both as 32-bit and 64-bit; robust client/server architecture with a dedicated server that performs all calculations in real-time and then sends the results to the client, which visualizes the results; and results can be sent back to the historian for further communication to DCS or SCADA systems.
