National Instruments is among top 10 employers in Hungary
For the second straight year, National Instruments (NI) was named as ''one of the 10 best companies to work for in Hungary,'' by Figyelö (''Observer'' in English), the country’s economic publication affiliated with Business Week.
Austin, TX —For the second straight year, National Instruments (NI) was named as ”one of the 10 best companies to work for in Hungary,” by Figyelö (”Observer” in English), the country’s economic publication affiliated with Business Week.
National Instruments Europe Kft., as NI is known locally, rose to second position on the list—up from last year’s sixth place in Figyelö ’s annual ranking of global and Hungarian-based firms. It remains the only technical manufacturing employer in the country to make the list, which includes the likes of Microsoft and Budapest Bank (GE Bank).
The recognition comes as a result of an independent survey of National Instruments Europe Kft.’s employees conducted by Hewitt Inside Associates, the consulting service that also surveys and ranks Fortune ’s 100 Best Companies to Work for in America. Local NI employees were asked to evaluate the company on such criteria as their trust in management, pride in their work and the company, and corporate culture.
”This achievement recognizes the innovative and entrepreneurial culture that NI employees worldwide have cultivated throughout the company’s history,” says Dr. László Ábrahám, general manager of NI’s Hungarian operations. Dr. James Truchard, president, CEO and co-founder of NI, added the following sentiment: ”This recognition in Hungary demonstrates our ongoing commitment to creating a stimulating and innovative place for employees to work around the globe.”
Located in Debrecen in Eastern Hungary, the production facility is NI’s first overseas manufacturing site and has been operational since October 2001.
