Offering environmental protection to NEMA 12 (IP54), the HME range, constructed with a fully welded frame for strength and rigidity, consists of three base designs. The HME single door version includes 43 sizes ranging from 1400 high x 600 wide x 500 mm deep to 2200 x 1000 x 600 mm. The 36 HMET double door units are available from 1400 x 1200 x 500 mm to 2200 x 1200 x 600mm and the 23 HFMD single door and the HFMDT double door flanged disconnect versions, sized to accept disconnect switches from all leading manufacturers, from 1400 x 800 x 500 mm to 2200 x 10 00 x 500 mm. The HME frame profile features square cage nut and round holes at 25 mm centers for conveniently mounting equipment and accessories; reinforced eyebolts are provided for easy lifting and all units have a base gland plate with adjustable opening for cable entry.

The modular design enables units to be easily joined together for large scale and mixed use applications. An extensive range of accessories, optimized for the HME family are available. Window doors, 19-in. mounting rails, air conditioners, filter fans, heaters and thermostats, shelves, a grid mounting system, various handle and interlock options, internal LED and fluorescent light kits, bridging and barrier panels, swing frames and panels, plinths, tamper resistant screws and top mount cable modules enable the enclosures to be easily configured to the application.

In addition to the extreme flexibility that can be configured by end users with standard parts, the HME Series can be supplied in custom configurations, special paint colors, with custom cutouts and windows using Hammond’s low-run, fast turnaround modification services.
