Hume Integration Software has released its Datahub Solutions Development Kit (SDK), which allows integration of cells and processes into a distributed, peer-to-peer network. Hume refers to such integration as network integrated manufacturing (NIM).
Hume Integration Software specializes in developing software products for NIM in the semiconductor, flat-panel display, and MEMS (microelectromechanical systems) industries.

Using a distributed, event-driven messaging framework, NIM accommodates rapid implementation, additions, and changes, according to Hume. Subscription-based SQL data access provides for efficiency and accuracy of operation. Hume claims NIM is in use by major fabs and tool manufacturers on three continents.
