dtmInspector 2.0 (Beta) from FDT Group and M&M Industrial Software adds certification tests for Foundation Fieldbus, Interbus and the DeviceNet extension to CIP to its existing Profibus and HART protocol tests. The addition to the FDT toolset expands the reach of the certification process and enables certification and registration of DTMs for Foundation Fieldbus, Interbus and DeviceNet. Users can purchase and install DTMs for these protocols with the guarantee of formal certification from the FDT Group. The dtmIInspector is a software tool that automatically and systematically tests the conformance of DTMs with the FDT specification. It is possible to debug the DTM during the test run for direct monitoring of the code interaction. Certification tests in the accredited test sites are executed with the dtmInspector. The developer can check the software conformance prior to shipping it to the site, ensuring successful testing at the first execution and avoiding costly repetition of the process. www.fdtgroup.org www.mm-software.com FDT Group, M&M Software
