New solution manages control system alarms

Matrikon’s version 4.0 of ProcessGuard, its Microsoft Windows-based alarm-management software application, features interactive Web reports, multi-language sup-port, automated assessments that benchmark plant performance against ISA and EEMUA standards, and customized profiles so that each user can customize their reports layout.

Matrikon 's version 4.0 of ProcessGuard, its Microsoft Windows-based alarm-management software application, features interactive Web reports, multi-language support, automated assessments that benchmark plant performance against ISA and EEMUA standards, and customized profiles so that each user can customize their reports layout.
ProcessGuard's other features:

  • help supervisors gauge whether alarm loading problems exist;

  • aids technical staff in identifying/eliminating nuisance alarms;

  • enable operators to quickly identify and respond to process situations before they become critical problems;

  • collect and stores alarms and events;

  • provide long term monitoring to sustain results; and

  • enable simple, flexible, integration to site systems.
