Control Engineering hosts a video repository on its site for educational and tutorial videos created by Control Engineering and industrial technology providers. Recently posted videos at CEtv include:

  • A visit to Carnegie Science Center’s 88-year-old miniature railroad and village attraction. Interviews with a Carnegie Science Center representative and the exhibit’s process control system integrator provide details on the exhibit and its control structure. For the past 16 years, the exhibit has operated using Opto22 controls, which also provided the video to CEtv.

  • An explanation of no-touch, infrared sensors used at FGT Polska (a Poland-based glass manufacturer) in the production of low emissivity glass. The sensors featured are from Raytek, which also provided the video.

  • Details around the partnership between Siemens and the National Corn-to-Ethanol Research Center at Southern Illinois University. Siemens provided equipment, software, and onsite training to the facility (the company claims that its automation technologies are used in 70% of the ethanol plants built in the U.S. in the last five years). The video is provided by Siemens.
