Chicago, Ill. – Executive Manufacturing Technologies (London, Ontario, Canada) formed the Manufacturing Intelligence Alliance to exchange technology and marketing expertise to find solutions for discrete manufacturers. The announcement was launched at National Manufacturing Week , which includes the Industrial Automation Show, here March 18-21.

The partners are:

EMT, maker of VisualPlant software, which provides, real-time and historical perspective of the plant floor on desktop or browser;

Lighthammer , manufacturing portal software, connecting disparate systems together;

Born Consulting , ERP integration consulting experience;

Siemens ITPS, a system integrator;

Tazion Software , which develops applications, components, device drivers, web-enabled applications, frameworks, reusable components, and toolkits;

Red Oak Knowledge Systems, providing manufacturing knowledge and training systems;

Plantwatch , specializes in wireless notification to pagers, cell phones, marquees and other devices;

The alliance will provide discrete manufacturers one tightly integrated, off-the-shelf manufacturing software platform, says EMT’s Dennis Cocco, ceo. ‘This environment has historically been overwhelmed by an abundance of narrow, customized software applications, each solving one small piece of a larger problem,’ says Mr. Cocco. ‘Our alliance offers a collections of manufacturing intelligence solutions that independently or collectively present significant value to manufacturers.’

EMT says partners were selected for expertise in enterprise portal connectivity, Enterprise resourse planning integration, quality and continuous improvement, knowledge systems, wireless connectivity and notification, and global manufacturing integration services.
