NMW 2002: Entivity expects new VLC in April, Studio in June

Chicago, IL. - Entivity (Ann Arbor, Mich.) updated progress over the past year since its February 2001 formation. The company reviewed performance and announced coming product upgrades at a press conference here on March 19, at National Manufacturing Week, which includes the Industrial Automation Show (March 18-21).

Chicago, IL. - Entivity (Ann Arbor, Mich.) updated progress over the past year since its February 2001 formation. The company reviewed performance and announced coming product upgrades at a press conference here on March 19, at National Manufacturing Week, which includes the Industrial Automation Show (March 18-21).

Entivity, the combination of Think&Do and Steeplechase, with minority investment from Schneider Electric, expects to update versions of EntivityVLC 6.0 in April and EntivityStudio 7.0 in June. EntivityVLC is described as the fastest available PC-based control and EntivityStudio as the most complete.

Other Entivity products include EntivityLive! The product, touted as among the easiest-to-use PC-based control software, is slated to be updated later this year. Also offered are EntivityAPN, collaborative web services for project management; and EntivityESS, Entivity Subscription Services, which provides a higher level of sales and support for Entivity products.

Other news reviewed included a 30% increase in OEM sales over 2000 even as project sales fell slightly; Entivity's expansion into Western Europe, Asia Pacific, and Africa; and partnerships previously announced with Cognex, Intelligent Instrumentation, and Xycom.
