NMW 2004: AutomationDirect offers FC Series signal conditioners

Chicago, IL— AutomationDirect introduced at National Manufacturing Week 2004 its new FC Series signal conditioners for converting process, temperature and other electrical signals into voltage or current signals for transmission or input into a PLC.

These signal conditionersignal conditioner.

They mount on DIN rail or from the side and have removable terminal blocks. Potentiometer adjustment of output span and offset is available on each, except the FC-33.

In addition, FC-33 has field-configurable input and output ranges of 0-5 V, 0-10 V, 0-20 mA and 4-20 mA, with 1,500 V dc isolation between input and output and 1,500 V dc isolation from 24 V power and input/output. Also, an LED shows normal operation, and is used with the calibration pushbutton for the internal calibration process.

FC-11 has a loop-powered 4-20 mA input/output signal, with 1,500 Vdc isolation between input and output.

FC-R1 is loop-powered, non-isolated, three-wire unit that converts an RTD input to a linear 4-20 mA signal. It has user-selectable CU10, PT100 or PT1000 input.

FC-T1 has field-configurable input for several types of thermocouple or mV inputs, with 1,500 Vdc isolation between input and output. It also has cold junction compensation and burnout detection, and alarm/run LED.
