Chicago, IL— The new Data Stream series of electrical properties transducers from CR Magnetics allow monitoring of voltage, current, power, power factor, energy, and frequency in one package.

Sensed information is then provided to the system via an RS-485 serial bus. Con-structed in a DIN-rail mount package, this series is available in multifunction (CRD5100) or voltage- and current-only (CRD4500, CRD4100) devices. A simple set of ASCII based commands controls transducer functions. A low-cost RS-485 to RS-232 converter helps users control up to 256 devices with one RS-232 connection.

Other features include 4th order Delta Sigma A/D converters, high-rate digital filtering, closed-cover calibration, digital output ESD protected to 8 kV (meeting IEC 1000-4-4), 24-bit resolution data sampling, 16-bit output resolution, 250 ms refresh rate, and direct-connection capability up to 30 A ac and 500 V ac. The series also is Modbus capable,
