Chicago, IL— Carlo Gavazzi reports that its new 48 x 96 mm UDM Series panel meters are TRMS modular instruments for advanced applications. UDM consists of UDM35, which are 3.5-digit instruments and UDM40, which are 4-digit instruments. The company is exhibiting at National Manufacturing Week 2005 , March 7-10 at McCormick Place.

Carlo Gavazzi adds these instruments provide powerful scaling and filtering capabilities, wide measurement range (up to 5 A/500 V ac/dc, 20 KW, RTD and thermocouple input) using only four input modules, cold junction compensation, excitation output, time integration, and quick assembly/maintenance because of their plug-and-play modules. Parameter programming and cloning of multiple UDMs is easily achieved using optional UDM-Soft software. Variable control and retransmission is performed via four alarm setpoints, fully scalable analog output, and/or the RS232/485 serial communication port.

UDM40 has added benefits, such as the three-color display, which allows users to match other existing displays or to associate a different color to different alarm conditions. UDM40 also can manage non-linear, complex, or disturbed signals by using its 16-point linearity feature to display them accurately.
