Instrumentation

Heat Spy DHS215XEL line of compact, handheld, non-contact infrared thermometers from Wahl Instruments is reported to be easy-to-use, cost-effective, and accurate. Portable instruments measure surface temperatures in a wide variety of applications, including quality/non-destructive testing, manufacturing process control, plant maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, and automotive repair and diagnostics. They feature an adjustable emissivity setting, temperature range of -58 to 1,832 °F (-50 to 1,000 °C), type K thermocouple ANSI mini-jack input, and 4-digit backlit dual LCD for measuring and displaying non-contact and contact temperatures in °F or °C. On/off laser sighting system and distance-to-target ratio of 50:1 lets users measure smaller targets from greater distances. Unit holds and logs measurements to memory; can display minimum, maximum, average, and delta temperature; and includes a settable high/low audible alarm. Data can be sent to a PC using the USB connection with supplied software. www.palmerwahl.com Wahl Instruments Inc.
