Edmonton, Alberta, Canada —FrameworX is an object-oriented software technology for factory control and automation. With FramworX, engineers can develop and edit control logic, HMI animations, and systems management parameters simultaneously. This single environment for software development provides for drag and drop functionality between programs to establish links. Using Microsoft technologies COM/DCOM and ActiveX, FrameworX allows software components to use a common interface, share editing and configuration tools, and exchange information automatically. The fxManager, the first component for the FrameworX environment, provides centralized data storage, version control, security, audit trails, and scheduling for other Total Control Products automation software like fxView (MMI software) and fxControl (PC-based control package).
