Opportunities to learn

It looks like this must be the time of year for learning, at least that's the conclusion I arrived at after looking over my recent e-mails promoting Web and in-person seminars and training classes.

It looks like this must be the time of year for learning, at least that's the conclusion I arrived at after looking over my recent e-mails promoting Web and in-person seminars and training classes.

  • ControlSoft has December classes scheduled for Cleveland, OH, Chicago, IL, Dallas, TX, Atlanta, GA and Philadelphia, PA. I attended one of ControlSoft's PID tuning classes about a year ago, pretty good stuff.

  • ExperTune has a Web seminar titled ''Integrating PlantTriage With Your Existing Systems'' scheduled for November 20th.

  • World Batch Forum is hosting a Web seminar December 10th titled ''Exception Handling in Recipe-Based Batch Control,'' presented by Rasmus Olsson, Lund University, Sweden and Karl-Erik Arzen, Lund University, Sweden. They will discuss an internal model approach for equipment unit supervision using Grafchart.

  • Nugenesis has a pre-recorded presentation titled, ''Understanding and Implementing the FDA's Final Guidance Document for 21 CFR Part 11,'' available on its Web site. Click here

  • Nugenesis also has upcoming Web presentations of particular interest to FDA regulated industries:

Dec. 2nd: '' What's All This About Predicate Rules? ''
Dec. 4th: '' Improving Quality By Means of New Process Initiatives .''
