QuickSwitch Model 4294 from Electro Standards Laboratories is a 4-way all-optic simplex fiber switch with threaded FC connectors, 100/140 graded index fiber, and UPC. It features optical scalability, is bit-rate and data transparent, and service/protocol transparent. Switch position memory lets the device automatically change to its default position and continue to pass data when power is lost. FC simplex A/B/C/D device is designed with fiber-optic mirror technology that allows a fiber-optic device connected to the unit’s FC simplex common connector to access any of four fiber-optic networks connected to A, B, C, or D ports. Switch position can be changed from front-panel pushbuttons or from an RS-232 serial remote port on the rear panel.
