Temecula, Calif. – To provide automation hardware, integration and training in Argentina, Bolivia and Peru, Opto 22 announced Jan. 1 that it has agreed with Interlog Electronica Ltda. (Santiago, Chile) to expand their partnership and market Opto 22’s products in the three nations.

Opto 22 and Interlog plan to use current and future business relationships to increase market penetration in developing and distributing solutions for TCP/IP over Ethernet process control, data acquisition and automation. They plan to especially emphasize Opto 22’s Snap Ultimate I/O, Snap Ethernet I/O and Snap IT hardware, as well as the firm’s usual line of industrial automation products.

Interlog specializes in distributing electronic automation and industrial IT equipment and PC-based automation software. It also provides hardware integration services, as well as hardware and software training for all products.

‘Opto 22 and Interlog have enjoyed an amazingly successful, 20-year relationship in Chile that continues to grow,’ says Rene Gamero, Opto 22’s South American business development director. ‘With this expansion, Interlog becomes one of the largest distributors of Opto22 products in South America and one of our premier solution providers.’
