Irving, Tex. - Entrelec recently introduced a new series of printed circuit board (PCB) connectors using insulation displacement contact (IDC) technology. An extension of Entrelec's IDC rail-mounted terminal blocks, PCB IDC connectors eliminate the need for individual wire stripping and clamp screw tightening, offering users faster, more reliable, vibration- and corrosion-free connections.

These two- to 24-pole male and female plugs mate with each other and with Entrelec's existing PCB screw clamp plugs and sockets to increase wiring productivity and reliability. The female and male plugs have 5.08-mm spacing between poles, and accommodate two wires per termination for compact wiring to the PCB board, with current and voltage ratings that meet most design requirements. Standard accessories include IDC connection and extraction tools, coding pegs, cable clamps, and DIN rail mounting feet.
