Bologna, ItalyDatalogic Jet Version 5 from Datalogic is designed for mobile data capture operations. Enhanced version is suited for a variety of applications, including field force automation, warehousing, and the management of data in many areas of a company.

Version 5 is based on Microsoft Windows CE 5.0 embedded operating system and the new Intel PXA 270 microprocessor, which at 520 MHz is intended to optimize the performance of Windows CE. PDA is equipped with Flash and RAM memories that have been increased to 128 MB. The addition of a mini SD card slot makes possible memory expansion accessible by the operator for data backup and storage of large databases. The feature reportedly allows large quantities of data to be saved and shared between several PDAs or PCs simply by transferring the SD card.

Device offers up to three wireless communication options. Bluetooth comes with all models. Wi-Fi and GSM/GPRS are optional. Availability of three options enables real-time communication of voice and data at the same time and in the same place as the operation is being carried out. Product also includes USB and RS-232 interfaces.
