PID tuning translator from ExperTune converts PID tuning parameters from one controller to another.

Hartland, WI —PID (proportional, integral, derivative) tuning translator from ExperTune converts PID tuning from one industrial PID controller to another. It can convert values from any of more than 490 industrial PID controllers to the new system. When migration is made from a PLC to a DCS, PID tuning parameters are converted directly to the proper engineering units and time bases for the algorithm choice, maintaining established dynamic performance of the control loop.

Device is said to quickly transfer PID settings during an upgrade to a new control system, saving time and avoiding human error. All loops retain their basis of performance and can converted in hours instead of days. In addition to the 490 PID algorithms included with the software, a user can customize combinations.
