Plant management software: New Intune release combines key control functions

ControlSoft ‘s new Intune version 5 software is billed as a non-intrusive plant management, process control, and predictive maintenance tool combined with diagnostic and tuning features.

Intune v5 claims their performance improvement suite provides five key services:

Increase productivity;

Reduce energy consumption;

Improve product consistency with less waste;

Increase plant engineering and maintenance productivity; and

Support continuous improvement.

These capabilities are available through a variety of process analysis, reporting, and problem correction tools, according to ControlSoft. Managers can benchmark loop and plant performance while discovering gaps between current and potential performance levels. Poorly operating loops can be tuned, increasing efficiency and maintenance effectiveness.
