InterConnecting Automation’s FC-LOG is a programmable logic controller (PLC) data logger that is designed to collect historical and production data as well as troubleshoot machines when needed. The 4GB PLC logger can be plugged into a computer via USB and operates as a mass storage device and can collect up to 60 samples per second, holding up to 148 million records in CSV format. The FC-LOG can diagnose problems at a remote site and keeps track of uptime, downtime, and reasons why a machine or connected device failed to operate to help the user accurately fix issues. It can also save information in a Microsoft Excel .csv format for ease of use.

The FC-LOG collects digital and analog values as well as any other parameter available from a Modbus-enabled device. The PLC data logger takes less than 10 minutes to configure and video instructions are included. It logs up to 55 addresses, can offload information via cable or a memory card, and can be powered from a PLC communication port or 24 V dc. The user can upgrade the device from 4GB to 8, 16 or 32 GB. The PLC data loggers’ built-in software has drivers for and allows native addressing of most AutomationDirect PLC’s along with any Modbus-enabled device. It takes less than 10 minutes to configure and video instructions are included.
