EZAutomation EZPPS field programmable power supplies include built-in digital displays that provide, at a glance, additional information without connecting a meter. The NEC Class 2 models add flexibility through easy, field-programmable current-limit using the displays and two buttons. The power supplies, in 30 W, 60 W, and 90 W models, have a 3-digit LED display for output voltage and 2-digit LED display for output current. The power supplies also have maintenance timer functions, showing hours of use and expected lifespan based on usage, functions that are particularly valuable to schedule replacement before an outage occurs. (Electrolytic capacitors in a switching power supply have limited life, depending upon current and temperature.) A pre-failure warning alarm can go to a stack light or other device accepting the output signal. Other attributes include DIN mount compact plastic housing at 3.1-in. x 1.8-in. x 4-in. deep, , and plug-in connectors for easy maintenance. Operating temperature is -25 to 60 C, with 95% relative humidity. The units have 24 V dc output with less than 100 mv peak to peak ripple, with 1% load regulation; output voltage adjustable from front plate, +5%, to -10%; and 85-264 V ac universal input voltage. In addition, the unit is protected against an output short or an overload with automatic recovery. UL 508, UL 1310 Class 2, CSA ratings are pending. The EZAutomation EZPPS is made in the United States. Additional versions, for 120 W, 150 W, 200 W, and 240 W, are coming soon.
