Helio-Scope from Mahr universal optical measuring system is designed to facilitate precision control of complex turned parts automatically. System functions on the shop floor and in the lab, allowing measurement of characteristics on turned parts in seconds and without contact. An automatic measuring sequence is said to eliminate operator influence from results and a graphic interface simplifies instrument use. Device can measure parts up to 750 mm (29.5 in.) in length, 120 mm (4.7 in.) in diameter, and up to 30 Kg (66 lb) in weight. System incorporates a telecentric precision optical system with a high-resolution CCD camera and can resolve lengths and diameters up to 0.0001 mm and angles up to 0.0001„a. Results can be displayed, stored, or printed out. Printout can be customized to meet user requirements.
