Pressure sensor wins intrinsically safe approvals

Futek Advanced Sensor Technology PMP500 pressure sensor won intrinsically safe approvals from FM, ATEX, CE conformity, and CSA.

Irvine, CA – Futek Advanced Sensor Technology’s PMP500 pressure sensor won intrinsically safe approvals from FM, ATEX, CE conformity, and CSA to help support international shipments of OEM equipment designed with these transmitters. The approvals provide global recognition and acceptance of the intrinsically safe ratings.

Futek Advanced Sensor Technology PMP500 pressure sensor won intrinsically safe approvals from FM, ATEX, CE conformity, and CSA.

Durable stainless-steel construction features all-welded measuring cells for media compatibility. Its compact design makes the Futek PMP500 suitable for use in chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas refining, food industry, and mechanical engineering applications. Sensors can be used in pressure measurement applications where intrinsically safe ratings are required.
There are no internal soft sealing materials to react with media or deteriorate over time. The stainless-steel case comes with environmental protection rating up to NEMA 6P/IP 68. Features include 1/4 NPT male threads, 4-20 mA 2-wire output, Din connector, and 0.25% accuracy.
Printed circuit boards use state-of-the-art surface mount technology and are potted in silicone gel for protection against mechanical shock, vibration, and moisture. PMP500 is individually temperature-compensated to assure accuracy and long-term stability even when exposed to severe temperature variations. A
