Larson Davis, a div of PCB Piezotronics, has introduced new firmware for its SoundTrack LxT sound level meter that supports a portable USB thermal printer. This new feature allows the user to print a screenshot of any analysis screen, as well as a summary report detailing the overall sound measurement. The company says this new ability to generate a report without the need to download data to a PC is ideal for anyone looking for a quick summary of measured data, including noise consultants and code enforcement officers. The user interface can be customized to lock-out changes to system or measurement setup. The SoundTrack LxT is available in Type 1 or Type 2 configurations with a wide array of field upgradeable firmware options including time history logging, 1/1 and 1/3 octave frequency analysis, community noise measurement, interval analysis, and digital voice annotation. Accessory kits include a microphone calibrator, hard-shell carrying case, PC download cable, and utility software for archiving and reporting measurement results. The unit, powered by standard AA batteries, can work for 24 hrs when used with 1.5 V lithium types. www.larsondavis.com Larson Davis
