Process control: Rockwell Automation to acquire ICS Triplex
Rockwell Automation announced that it has reached an agreement to purchase Industrial Control Services Group, Ltd., which does business as ICS Triplex, a global supplier of control and safety solutions for process industries.
Milwaukee, WI — Rockwell Automation announced that it has reached an agreement to purchase Industrial Control Services Group, Ltd., which does business as ICS Triplex , a global supplier of control and safety solutions for process industries. ICS Triplex claims 40 years of experience, developing and maintaining advanced products for process plant safety systems.
ICS Triplex annual revenues are projected to be approximatelycoverage include oil and gas, chemicals and power generation.
“With their industry expertise and strong customer relationships, ICS Triplex provides an important strategic fit for our rapidly expanding process control and safety solutions business,” says Keith Nosbusch, chairman and CEO of Rockwell Automation. “ICS customers in oil and gas, and other process industries will benefit from the breadth of Rockwell Automation’s product portfolio and solutions capabilities.”

The companies expect all relevant regulatory issues to be settled and the transaction completed by the third quarter of 2007. ICS Triplex will be included in Rockwell’s Control Products & Solutions operating segment.
