Process instrumentation supplier expands offering of fieldbus enabled devices
Emerson expands its device portfolio adding temperature and pressure transmitters that support Profibus PA profile V3.02.
Emerson Process Management has expanded its offering Profibus enabled devices to include the Rosemount 3051 pressure transmitter and 644 temperature transmitter, both available with Profibus PA profile V3.02. The company says it has taken this step to provide customers with a more comprehensive offering, making it easier to have one protocol for an entire plant. Existing Profibus users can now take advantage of Rosemount’s features where it would not have been practical previously. These include local operator interface with simple addressing and configuration at the transmitter.
As part of this effort, Emerson has expanded its staff of certified Profibus specialists with training to provide global support for any Emerson devices and systems, including DeltaV digital automation system; AMS Suite Intelligent Device Manager; Fisher control valves; Rosemount flow, pressure, and temperature transmitters; and Micro Motion Coriolis mass flowmeters.
