Noteworthy events and resources in the process control area this month include record attendance at the recent Interphex2006 exhibition, announcement of keynotes for the upcoming Process Control Systems Forum (PCSF), and the availability of process application audio CDs from Emerson Process Management. Last month's Interphex2006 pharmaceutical conference and exhibition enjoyed a 9% increase in conference delegates over the year before and a 6% increase in total attendance, according to Reed Exhibitions, which manages the trade show. The event welcomed 210 new companies to its exhibitor base this year, and included a mix of case study and tutorial presentations and several keynote speakers. Interphex2007 will take place April 24-26, 2007, at the Javits Center in New York City. Click here for more on next year's show.

Keynotes for the 2006 spring meeting of the Process Control Systems Forum include control systems security experts Dr. Paul Dorey, vice president of BP plc, William Crowell, independent consultant and former deputy director for the National Security Agency, and Margaret Grayson, president of AEP Government Solutions Group. Process application audio CDs are available from Emerson Process Management . They cover more than 70 industrial applications showing the use of Rosemount Analytical sensors and instruments for liquid analysis. Five CD set is grouped by industries. Titles include chemical and petro-refining, food and beverage and pharmaceutical, water and wastewater, pulp and paper and metals and mining; and power and semiconductor.
