New process-control-related products entering the marketplace this month include a series of monoflange assemblies from Swagelok Co. , a corrosion-resistant butterfly valve from Nil-Cor CompositeValves , and controllers with remote setpoint capability from Danaher Industrial Controls . Read more about each of these devices in the descriptions that follow. Illustrations are included. For additional details, visit each company’s Web site. Kenmac Series slimline process monoflange assemblies from Swagelok Co. replace multi-valve assemblies with a single manifold. Compact design minimizes potential leak points, reduces stress from loading and vibration, and reduces installation and maintenance time. A full range of devices is available, including block, block-and-bleed, and double block-and-bleed flanged manifolds. Choose from bolted bonnet, outside screw and yoke (OS&Y) bolted bonnet, and integral screwed needle valve process monoflange assemblies. A two-valve isolating and venting gauge block monoflange is available for instrumentation applications. All are rated to working pressures of 150-2500 lb class according to ANSI B16.5.

710-Series butterfly valve from Nil-Cor Composite Valves, a subsidiary of Dresser Inc., is designed for maximum corrosion resistance inside and out.

710-Series butterfly valve from Nil-Cor Composite Valves , a subsidiary of Dresser Inc., is designed for maximum corrosion resistance inside and out. Lightweight body is made of fiber-glass-reinforced cast epoxy; device successfully tested to 800 psi. Valve features an integral ISO 5211 actuator mounting flange. It has a PTFE lining and PFA-encapsulated, stainless steel, single-piece disc and shaft.Valve can be installed between lined pipe fittings, metallic raised-face pipe fittings, and unlined FRP fittings, and in dual-laminate piping systems. Applications include handling chemicals such as chlorinated acid brine; hot concentrated inorganic acids; caustics; petrochemicals; and phenols that are corrosive to vinyl ester and other valve materials. Device is also suited for ultra-pure and clean services.

+Series family of industrial controllers from Danaher Industrial Controls features an easy-to-use programming interface and a plug-and-play options format.

+Series family of industrial controllers from Danaher Industrial Controls features an easy-to-use programming interface and a plug-and-play options format. New line includes 1/16, 1/8, and 1/4 DIN size models and provides dual setpoints that can be selected from a remote location.

For example, a heat pump can be made to operate in two stages, with a different setpoint for each stage. In a paint booth, the setpoint may be adjusted remotely based on relative humidity. Each controller has a communications port that can receive setpoint changes from a remote operator, PLC, or factory control software. Input can be an analog voltage or current or potentiometer setting.
