GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms has released Proficy Process Systems in a new 250 I/O size, single-computer offering targeted at smaller applications and OEMs. Proficy Process Systems. a fully-integrated process control system, provides improved quality, increased throughput, and efficiency. Multi-disciplined PACSystems controllers can handle process, discrete, and motion control applications for control system flexibility. HMI/SCADA (Cimplicity, iFIX) and Historian applications combine with batch and a production management applications to close the gap between automation and information, according to the company. Control features include function blocks for advanced regulatory control; user-defined function blocks can be created to define control algorithms, and system integrators can lock the blocks to protect intellectual property.
