DRS21 CoreTech incremental encoders from Sick Stegmann Inc. are now available in a freely programmable version to allow users to program the width of the zero pulse and the number of lines from 1 to 8,192. DRS21 family is provided in standard 2-in. housings and features opto-ASIC with chip-on-board technology.

DRS21 CoreTech incremental encoders from Sick Stegmann Inc. are now available in a freely programmable version to allow users to program the width of the zero pulse and the number of lines from 1 to 8,192. DRS21 family is provided in standard 2-in. housings and features opto-ASIC with chip-on-board technology. Square flange, servo flange, and face mount versions are available with 0.25 and 0.375 in. and 10 mm solid shafts. Programmability reportedly lets end-users reduce inventory requirements and reduced downtime. OEMs can use the encoder to determine optimum PPR (pulses per revolution) for their machines while providing immediate encoder re-programming to suit special needs. www.stegmann.com
