Geneva, Ill.— RH-P is an incremental encoder that allows users to select counts per revolution and output circuit type at installation time to suit the application. Using an integrated microcontroller, the device can be programmed to count in hundredths of an inch, up to 12 in. when equipped with the standard 12-in. circumference measuring wheels. The unit's microcontroller also has "antijitter" software that eliminates false signal, commonly generated by encoders used in the system with significant mechanical vibration, such as conveyor systems and web applications. Operating requirements are 5 V or 8-30 V dc at 50 mA (no load), 0-70 8C, and 0-3,000 rpm. Available outputs are current sinking, current sourcing, and open collector NPN. Photocraft Inc.
