Propeller flowmeter for water applications
Water Specialties flowmeter from McCrometer aims at wells and booster stations.
The Model ML04 Water Specialties propeller flowmeter from McCrometer is designed for applications where accurate and reliable flow measurement is needed in applications involving municipal ground water production wells and booster stations. The company says its design is user-friendly and offers accuracy of ±2%.
The design is scalable and can cover liquid flow rates of 40 to 60,000 gpm with line sizes of 2 to 48 in. Its indicator and totalizer register can deliver data on flow rate indication and accumulated flow volume using a 4-in. display with a 250° dial, six-digit totalizer, and test sweep hand. The register can be specified for gpm, cfs, mgd, or any standard unit of liquid measurement. An optional 4-20 mA or pulse output is available for larger control systems.
McCrometer says the rugged design has earned a reputation for effective performance and reliability. The construction features injection molded plastic bonnets and a hinged lid with padlock hasp to prevent unauthorized entry. Fabricated steel meter tubes with straightening vanes and fabricated steel meter heads are coated inside and out with NSF approved fusion-bonded epoxy. Long-life ceramic dual thrust bearings handle both forward and reverse direction flow, and the unit can be mounted in any position. Meter materials and performance meet or exceed AWWA standard C704-08.
