ProSoft Technology says it’s providing wireless connectivity with its RadioLinx frequency-hopping Ethernet and serial options, RadioLinx Industrial Hotspot, and its communications expertise, support, and accessories. Specifically, the company says its four, new RadioLinx wireless solutions include:

  • RLX-FHE frequency-hopping Ethernet, 2.4 GHz, offers simultaneous support of all Ethernet 802.3 compliant protocols including: TCP/IP, EtherNet/IP, and Modbus TCP/IP;

  • RLX-FHES: frequency-hopping Ethernet with serial server, 2.4 GHz, connects serial and Ethernet devices to one RadioLinx network. Encapsulate common serial protocols in TCP/IP Ethernet packets. Convert Modbus RTU to Modbus TCP/IP for PLC-to-PLC messaging;

  • RLX-FHS frequency-hopping serial, 2.4 GHz, provides advanced support for leading serial protocols, including Modbus, DF1, DNP 3.0, and ASCII with data rates to 115 kbps (full duplex); and

  • RLX-IH industrial hotspot, 2.4 GHz, consists of industrial-grade, high-speed, wireless Ethernet links for fixed devices and plant-wide connectivity for mobile users/devices; transmitter with amplifier option for higher speeds at longer ranges outdoors and superior coverage with fewer radios indoors; and redundant master radios and self-healing network features for dependable operation.

All of the firm’s RadioLinx products provide:

  • Dual-antenna support for maximum performance and networking flexibility;

  • Fast, flexible, cost-effective connectivity to local, remote, and mobile devices;

  • Peer-to-peer communications and diagnostics; and

  • Packaging and design that meet CSA and cUL Class 1, Div. 2, Group A-D certifications, and an industrial operating temperature.

In addition, RadioLinx’s available accessories include high-power wireless PC cards with:

  • Industrial power for high speed at long range;

  • Automation network connectivity for handheld or laptop computers; and

  • External antenna options for increased range/vehicle mount.
