Proximity sensors extend range, get industry specific

03/07/2001

Exton, Pa. -'efector m' sensors, in three families, bring extended-range proximity sensing benefits into new applications, initially machine tools; food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries; and general industrial automation. The sensors have twice the sensing range of same-size conventional devices. The redesigned sensors meet design-test ratings for IP67, IP68, and IP69K and other areas. Color-coded modular-construction includes two-wire circuitry, a set-up LED, and hookup cables for the application. ifm efector www.ifmefector.com

At a glance...

  • Industrial: withstands shock, vibration levels orders of magnitude above industry standards, IP67

  • Washdown: caustic, acid solutions, IP69K

  • Metalworking: oils, IP68-enhanced rating
