4B Components' P8003V10C and the P8004V10C (pictured) proximity sensors have solid state relays that are designed for speed monitoring applications and can be used to detect shaft, gate, or slide position as well as object presence. Courtesy: 4B Component4B Components' P800 Proxswitch proximity sensor series has added two models—the P8003V10C and the P8004V10C—with solid state relays that are designed for speed monitoring applications requiring a pulse output up to 120 V ac/V dc for programmable logic controller (PLC) integrations. Both sensors can also be used to detect shaft, gate, or slide position as well as object presence. The P800 can be used with 4B's Whirligig guarded target and sensor mount. The Whirligig is available with 1, 2, 4 or 8 pulse targets and attaches to the rotating shaft by either a 1/2-in. tapped hole, or magnetically using 4B's Mag-Con adapter. The P800 is encapsulated in a polycarbonate body that is corrosion and abrasion resistant, dust-tight, and waterproof and is approved for hazardous conditions. Additionally, both P800 models can use 4B's SpeedMaster to test their functionality after the initial installation and during routine maintenance procedures.
