Germantown, WI – Perhaps you’ve seen the 773 Series Wall-Nuts Push Wire connectors from Wago Corp. and thought they might not be as rugged as needed for industrial use. Wago subjected them to demanding shock and vibration sequence testing, adhering to IEC standards. In-house testing verified Wago Wall-Nuts contact continuity (no current interruptions during testing) and housing integrity (no physical damage) under extreme conditions.
The tests, Wago says, confirmed suitability to a broad range of splicing applications, such as HVAC and transportation installations, wiring systems for rail car applications, truck body/trailer applications, and other enclosed vehicle wiring systems.IEC and Germanischer Lloyd testing procedures and guides that Wago followed include: Vibration strain “Random vibration” (IEC 61373:1999); Vibration 5 Hz–150 Hz, 4 g (GL VI – Part 7, Chapter 2, GL 2003); Shock test “Environmental testing – Single Shock” 50 g, 11 ms (IEC 60068-2-27:2008); and Vibration 5 Hz–2000 Hz, 5 g (IEC 60068-2-6:2007).
