Schaumburg, IL – Omron Electronic Components LLC announced the G2RV-SL500 Series of SPDT super-slim (6 mm wide) industrial relays with new push-in terminal socket options, which can be wired and disconnected with a flat-blade screwdriver. The relay and socket combination switches a 6 A at 250 V ac / 30 V dc resistive load and provides a typical life span of 100,000 operations. The relay features a strong mechanical pin with a large contact surface for a reliable connection between socket and relay. The strength of the pin (46 times stronger than a conventional PCB type) means it is less likely to be bent or damaged during installation.
Features include a see-through casing for visual assurance that the relay is making or breaking, a mechanical indicator window on the top surface to display red when the relay is operational, and a green LED on the socket indicating that the coil is powered up. G2RV carries UL, CSA, and VDE approvals and comes in coil voltages of 12, 24, and 48 V dc or 24, 48, 110, and 230 V ac.
The slim size meets the needs of machine and panel builders where DIN-rail space is limited. The relays are suitable for use in output control applications involving machine automation.
Available options include cross bars, PLC interface, cables for PLC interface, labeling, and separating plates. Relay and socket are sold as a combination, with relays available separately for maintenance.
