Indianapolis, IN— Reo-USA Inc. announced Aug. 13 that it has formed a partnership with Balluff Inc. to include sensors in its Microprocessor Frequency System (MFS) and Microprocessor Thyristor System (MTS) sensor-ready feeder controllers.

Reo’s controllers have built-in functions that allow PNP sensors to be used on microprocessor vibratory feeder controls. ReoVIB MFS and MTS have functions allowing for inline track control, high-level bowl control with hopper interlock, motion sensors, time on/off and empty time.

Reo adds that its partnership with Balluff will develop solutions, not just sensors wired into controls, and will focus on more difficult or obscure parts that involve engineering. For formerly difficult sensing of small or lightweight parts, for example, the partners will help them to be more easily sensed with the use of a background suppression sensor. Inline tack sensing has just been simplified with the use of Balluff’s Slot Sensor. The slot sensor is a self-contained, thru-beam sensor in a U-shaped housing designed to straddle a linear track.
