Axeda offers on-demand remote service software company with deployments in more than 70 countries, while and MCA delivers service parts planning and optimization software to product manufacturers across multiple industries. The new alliance is expected to help manufacturers of complex equipment strengthen their service supply chains by using intelligent product data to streamline spare parts management.
Aftermarket service-level agreements (SLA) vary widely and can be as demanding as a two- or four-hour response time. Because part demand is difficult to predict, service inventories are inflated to account for uncertainty and to maintain committed levels of equipment uptime.
Real-time operating and equipment configuration data available through the Axeda ServiceLink solution enhances MCA Service Planning and Optimization (SPO) software, enabling manufacturers to proactively predict part failures and more accurately forecast part placement requirements.
