RFID poll: Manufacturing, control engineering lead decision-making

Manufacturing and control engineering personnel will make the majority of RFID decisions in the next 12 months, according to an online poll related to the February 2007 Control Engineering cover story. The article, “What’s Your RFID Spin?” asked readers to go online and take a 10-second survey: “Within the next 12 months, who’s making the majority of RFID decisions at your place?”

Of those responding to this unscientific poll:41% said the manufacturing or control engineering department;12% IT department;15% Both;0% Neither;15% Management (beyond who’s listed above);6% System integrator;9% RFID OEM; and3% Other consultants.

The total exceeds 100% due to rounding.
