Nexen Group’s Precision Ring Drive Indexer (PRD) is designed as an alternative to direct drive motors. The PRD can start and stop at any incremental position and the motion profile can be changed by loading a servo drive program into the system. The PRD provides flexible indexing and rotary positioning for welding, positioning system, medical product, automotive, aerospace and semiconductor applications. The PRD doesn’t need oil baths, which reduces time-consuming cleanups, and it has a large hollow center so it can be mounted with cabling through the center of the rotating plate. The PRD combines roller pinion system technology with a precision-grade bearing and gearhead. The PRD table is supported by a cross-roller bearing rated for loads up to 1575 kN. It is capable of speeds up to 94 RPM and can handle peak torque inputs at any time.
