Rising-plug style valves for process instrumentation from Parker Instrumentation come in two body types and feature a patented design said to extend cycle life and minimize actuation force.

Rising-plug style valve for process instrumentation from Parker Instrumentation features a patented design said to provide reliable operation where contaminated media can lead to premature valve failure. Common applications include oil and gas processing facilities.

HRPV Series has a straight-through design that supports higher flow rates than needle valves, helping to avoid deposit build-up. Cleaning may be done by rodding. A new seat design reduces the size of the sealing region, allowing creation of a high-integrity seal with less force and addressing a common failure mode associated with this kind of valve. Development testing has reportedly demonstrated extended cycle life compared to similar valves.

Device features an 8-turn actuation cycle with a rolled spindle thread and smaller sealing area, lowering torque required when controlling high-pressure fluid flows and providing long life. Valve is rated to 10,000 psi (689 bar). A
